87 Blackwall Lane sits between the historical Royal Greenwich and the ever-evolving Greenwich Peninsula.
Immediately adjacent to the site is Rothbury Hall, the Grade-II listed building used by renowned local art company, Emergency Exit Arts.
Previously used as a tyre-specialist garage, the most recent occupier of the site – Universal Tyres – vacated the premises in July 2018. The building has since been used by Emergency Exit Arts on a temporary basis.
Lanbury’s proposals are to create 27 high-quality, private and affordable homes, in a development up to six storeys tall. Also planned is the provision of commercial and community ground-floor space, and a landscaped, communal courtyard area containing secure, cycle-parking spaces.
